Rosalind has over 13 years of family law experience. She trained in a regional firm and then spent several years at at a top rated Legal 500 London firm before coming to RA Savage and Co as a consultant solicitor and mediator.

Rosalind is experienced in acting in financial disputes in divorce/dissolution proceedings and for separating unmarried partners.

Rosalind aims to bring a sensitive and constructive approach to resolving disputes concerning children between parents. She has particular experience and specialism in international children matters and jurisdictional disputes, having often received instructions from the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit in Hague Convention proceedings. She has acted in a number of reported cases in this field, in the High Court and the appeal courts.

Rosalind also has experience in Court of Protection work, particularly in welfare disputes, and has acted on instruction from the Official Solicitor. She was named as part of a recommended Court of Protection team at her previous firm in the 2013 Legal 500 ratings.

Rosalind is also a trained mediator, and experienced in 'round table negotiations' with other solicitors.

Acted for the mother in her successful defence to the application for return.

Unprecedented application under Schedule 3 MCA 2005 (which implements the 2000 Hague Convention on the International Protection of Adults) for recognition and enforcement of a foreign court placing an incapacitated adult in an English psychiatric institution. Instructed leading and junior counsel.

Re LM (A Child) [2013] EWHC 646, Cobb J
Acting for the Health Service Executive of Ireland, instructing leading and junior counsel in proceedings concerning the transfer of jurisdiction from Ireland to England of care proceedings pursuant to article 15 of Brussels II revised appropriate jurisdiction of care proceedings, and in addition to resolve a dispute as to which should be the designated local authority upon acceptance of transfer of jurisdiction.

H v S (surrogacy agreement) [2015] EWFC 36
Acting for the mother of a child conceived by artifical conception in circumstances alleged to be akin to surrogacy. Highly contested proceedings, as to the parental roles that the mother, father, and the father’s partner should each play.
